Go Seahawks

We had a family day on Monday, and since the Seattle Seahawks were playing in the Monday Night Football game that night, the kids all wore their fan gear.  They looked so cute, and were super excited!
I love that Nolan looks like he's catching a pass in this picture!
Daddy got Kaitlyn a new Seahawks dress.  She loves it!
Our little linebacker
We went for brunch at The Original Pancake House, and had pumpkin pancakes.
Our littlest Seahawks fan
What a fun day!

Nolan and Pooh Bear

Nolan loves his Pooh Bear.  It's so cute to watch him carry him around while he plays.  The other day, Pooh must have been misbehaving, because we caught Nolan scolding him and getting him in trouble.  Afterwards, he picked him up and gave him a big hug, then continued playing. Boy, they learn young, don't they?!
One of my nicknames for Nolan is "Pooh Bear".  I can see the resemblance, can't you?!

Master of faces

I love this little booger.  He's so stubborn.  We were getting ready to eat and he wanted his bib off.  I told him to leave it on and he wasn't very happy with me.  He starting giving me a ton of pouty faces, so I started taking pictures off all of them.

This is his pleading 'PLEEEEASE let me take it off' face
Trying so hard not to crack a smile for Mommy.
Ooops... there it is!
This was his "No!" as I was getting ready to take this last picture.  Apparently, he got tired of me capitalizing on his displeasure and attempted tactics of persuasion!

Shhhhh.... someone had a birthday!

Yesterday was my dad's birthday.  He doesn't like to be celebrated, so we didn't have a party.  We just went to visit and hang out at my parents' house for a while.

Grandpa and Natalie
Then we all ended up at Dairy Queen to (unofficially) celebrate. Of course, he's the only one that wouldn't allow himself to be seen by the camera!
Having fun with Auntie Kayla and Uncle Jeremy
Natalie getting some snuggles in with Aunt Melanie
Love the hodge-podge of expressions!
Jeremy and Donna.... and Kaitlyn
Grandma and her boys
Nolan was having fun with Uncle Jeremy's hat
Happy __th Birthday, Dad/Grandpa!!
We love you!

Baseball 101

Talon was trying to teach Kaitlyn how to play baseball.  I had so much fun observing the lesson that he was giving her.  He would throw her the ball, and it would either hit her, or not be anywhere near close enough for her to hit it.  Then, he would scold her for not swinging.  When he did get it in the vacinity of where she was standing, she hit it most of the time.  I was pretty impressed!  I don't think I could have hit most of the balls he was throwing if he was pitching to me, yet she would hit it over his head.
She would then throw the bat down, and take off running to the fence behind her, at the other end of the yard, as fast as she could..  I laughed and laughed.  The first time, I couldn't figure out where in the world she was going; but she had it in her mind, I guess, that after you hit the ball, you run.  Apparently the direction you choose to run in doesn't really matter.  She would then run back and Talon would take his turn.  Kids are great!
And I absolutely love the look on her face in this picture.  She looks like she is just absolutly gonna clobber him with the bat if he doesn't quit talking and pitch.
Talon's turn.  He got so frustrated when Kaitlyn would throw a ball that he couldn't hit.  It seems he quickly forgot that he's not exactly the world's best pitcher himself.  I asked him why he didn't just use his tee instead of having Sissy pitch to him.  He didn't seem to think that was like REAL baseball.
Then I realized the main problem.... the pitcher was pitching with the wrong hand.  Actually, she wasn't doing too bad, considering!
That's better.
Playing outside and loving it.  Boy, will they sure be disappointed when summer ends!

Mr. Q-Ball

Nolan came home from Grandma Bauer's with a haircut.  Talon thought it was great and wanted one himself.  Well, I'm not exactly the barber type, nor do I have the proper equipment (unless you consider dog clippers with no attachments the 'proper equipment').  He said he wanted his hair short, though, so I told him I would cut it for him.  Let's just say... we should have made a quick trip to see Grandma.
Yes, it is short, and he loves it.  I think his daddy just about swallowed his uppers when he came bounding out of the bathroom, flaunting his new do! I keep telling myself that it probably wouldn't look so odd if his hair was darker.  Mmmm... well... maybe it would.  I sent a text message to my mom with this picture- to prepare her for the next time she sees him.  All she could say was, "It's short!" and "At least his hair grows really fast!".  Yes, that is the one saving grace- his hair grows extremely fast.  He keeps thanking me and telling me what a good job I did on cutting his hair, and I keep reminding him that Mommy does not usually cut hair, and that Grandma will be doing it from now on.

3 months old

Natalie is 3 months old today!
She is getting to be so fun and interactive.  Here are some fun facts about the little Miss Nat...
~She went in for a checkup at 11 weeks old, she weighs 11lb. 11oz, and is 23 inches long.
~She eats about 4oz. every 3-4 hours.
~She smiles all the time now, and has even giggled a couple of times.
~She is sleeping 7-8 hours at a time most nights (except when Mommy is at work sometimes, unfortunately for Daddy!).
~She is quite the talker- she loves to babble and coo.
~She hates riding in her carseat in the car.
~She still loves her binki.
~She hates to be put to bed awake in the dark, but we are trying to recondition her to not have to have a light on when she goes to sleep.
~She has a mind of her own, and is not afraid to let it be known when she is not happy.
~She is adored by her brothers and sister (and Mommy and Daddy too, of course!).

As many of you know, I am a picture freak!  I was only going to post a couple of these pictures, but since I couldn't decide which ones I liked best, I posted them all!

Just love those big blue eyes and long eyelashes!
One of her many faces
Happy girl after her bath
Such a cute pouty face
Gettin' a little sleepy!
"Ahhh, all bundled up in my swing with my binki.  That's what I'm talkin' about!"
Having girl time with Mommy and Sissy before bed.
Well, it was girl time....until Bubby decided he must be missing out on some fun and came to join us!
Look at those chubby cheeks!
More of her faces...
Love how this picture captured her double chin and her belly!
Happy 3 months old, Baby Girl!!
