Watermelon

Miss Germain gave me one of the watermelons that she grew in their garden, and it was one of the best I have ever eaten. Anthony agreed, though he didn't get much of it. I really like watermelon!!!

Beach trip with Grandpa and Grandma

This last Saturday, we finally got to take our day trip to the beach with Grandpa and Grandma Bauer.  The weather was beautiful and very warm.... like high-70's warm.  Jeremy and Donna were in Lincoln City for their married's retreat, so we spent some time with them before they headed home.
(As you will soon see, this post is mostly pictures that speak for themselves.)
Poor James was a bit tired from the days' activities.  All he wanted was a good nap!
Snack time!
Sand swimming
Grandpa playing football with Talon
We finally moved closer to the water so the kids could play in the wet sand.  It was much cooler down there, as well!
After digging in the sand for a while, the kids were ready to play in the water.  So you know what that means... Mommy has to go in the water, too.  Thankfully it wasn't as cold as I thought it would be.
Kaitlyn was a little leery of the water, and only went in a few times.  She was pretty sure that the rest of us were going to get drug out to sea!  Natalie, on the other hand, was all in.  I couldn't keep her away from it.  So I quit trying, and resolved myself to the fact that I would be getting wet, and would have to change my clothes.
Natalie loves water.  I don't think she has enough respect for it.  I had to keep pulling her back.
Kaitlyn was happy to sit back with Grandpa and Grandma and play in the sand
More football
I'm thankful we got to spend the day with my parents, and made it to the beach again before the weather gets cold. We had a wonderful time, and all came back completely exhausted!

Sprinklers and ice cream= fun!

Talon got a fun sprinkler from Aunt Melanie for his birthday, so we picked up some ice cream, and headed over to Grandma's house to have some fun in the water. The kids think it's great because they get to run through the sprinkler and eat their ice cream cone.  I think it's great because there's less mess to clean up, and the water washes off the sticky mess!
Ice cream sure does melt fast in the hot summer sun!
I just have to post this adorable picture of Talon.  I love how the sun turns his hair almost red, and he gets tons of freckles in the Summer!

Pool time

We got a pool!  Okay, so it's only about 12-14 inches deep, but the kids love it, and it's a refreshing way to cool off on these hot days.  I love that I can empty and refill it easily.  I am not a fan of nasty pool water!
Natalie wasn't sure about the cold water at first, but she quickly changed her mind.
I love her face in this picture!

Enjoying the Sunshine

We have had some beautiful weather the past couple of weeks.  The kids have enjoyed playing outside in the water.  They've spent some time running through the sprinkler, and even just playing in the faucet with plastic cups.
I've had a few days off, so I've been able to sit outside and enjoy some sunshine with them.

Outdoor Girl

Natalie loves playing outside.  She gets so upset if the other kids are out in the backyard, and she doesn't get to go out too!  She hates her shoes, so she is barefoot, as usual.
Our UW Huskies fan!  Daddy should be so proud!
Taking a break on the steps, and watching the older kids play.
Love those big blue eyes!
She's our climber.  She has no fear... she'll climb anything!
Gonna take a cruise in the pink car.
Waving 'good-bye'.
...and she's off!
Checking over her shoulder for traffic.
She must have been speeding and got pulled over by the bicycle police.
I think she was afraid Nolan was going to try and take the car away from her, because she would hardly even make eye contact with him.
Nolan-bug.  Outside on his bike, and happy as can be!
Our other cute little motorist.
So crazy!
Doing a little car shopping. She tried out the red one, but went right back to the pink.  Such a girlie girl!
