New Chairs

God blessed us with the opportunity to purchase new padded chairs for the church.  (Well, they are used, but new to us!) They are very comfortable, and we are so thankful for them.  Now to fill 'em up!
Rumor has it, we will soon be getting a whole box of songbooks as well.  We are so blessed!

50 years.... and counting!

In 1964, in a little chapel in Reno, Nevada, an 18 year old young man, and a 15 year old girl got married.  Today, 6 kids, and 22 grandchildren later, they are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary!  They've spent almost their entire lives in the work of God, starting churches, and giving selflessly for His Kingdom. They are two of the most amazing people that I know, and I love and admire them so much!
Happy Anniversary, Dad and Mom Starr (a.k.a. Papa and Granny)!  May God richly bless you with many more wonderful years together!

Resurrection Sunday

Here's a few pictures from Resurrection Sunday.  I always plan to get pictures before we leave the house... while the kids still look half-way put together; but as usual, we didn't have extra time, so we did the majority of them after church.

Sunday School
The kids weren't really in the mood for a photo session.  Oh well, we tried.
 Love our Sunday School kids!
Natalie was so happy... as long as Kylie was holding her.  She loves Christie and Kylie!
Aunt Norma came to visit for a couple of weeks, and made all of the kids hats.  They are so cute, and the kids absolutely love them!
We had a huge ham dinner with all of the fixin's, the kids played outside in the sunshine, and we had a nice, relaxing afternoon.
In the evening, we went to Grandpa and Grandma Bauer's to visit.
Talon found Grandpa's motorcycle helmet.  What a goof-ball!
Nolan and Grandpa deep in conversation.

Sunday School Picnic 2013

We had our First Annual Sunday School Picnic last Sunday at the Jones' house.  They have a big place out in the country on some property, so there was plenty of room for everyone.  It was fun to get together and visit, and there was a ton of amazing food!

The boys
The girls (and kids)
Visiting their pig.  The kids were so fascinated with her.
Ummm... not really sure what Talon is doing here, except that he was letting me know he was sooo hot!
It was a bit stifling, for sure.... mid 90's and humid... but hey, at least it wasn't raining!
 Fruit cakes!
