Happy Thanksgiving!

A lot of Anthony's family was able to come to Idaho for Thanksgiving this year, so we had dinner at his parents' house. Some of the family stayed with them and some stayed with us. Our good friends, Chad and Tori, were able to come and be with us as well. We slept too little, ate too much, and had a great time!

On Friday night, everyone came over to our house, and we carried out the tradition of playing music and singing together

Treat time!

Daddy got Talon his own ice cream cone on the way home. Needless to say, he really enjoyed it. I lost count of how many wet wipes it took to clean him up!

Even Kiki got a treat!
When we stopped at Starbucks, the lady asked if she could give our dog a small cup of whip cream.

Kaitlyn's 1st roadtrip

We decided to make a trip to Oregon for a few days before Thanksgiving so our family could meet Kaitlyn and spend time with Talon (a little birdie told us that Grandpa was kinda missing the little guy). It was a quick trip, but we had a great time!

Talon's first haircut

We took Talon to the barber this week for his first haircut. My baby looks like a little boy now! He got a bouncy ball and a sucker, and Papa helped entertain him. He did really well (and so did the barber for having a moving target)!

That morning, Daddy and Mommy had taken Kaitlyn to her doctor appointment and went out for breakfast while Talon stayed at Papa and Granny's. Kaitlyn's first trip to The Original Pancake House! (she didn't eat much)

First Sunday

Kaitlyn's first Sunday at church she wore a little pink gown with lace and a matching bonnet.

This picture's a little blurry, but I think it's so sweet! Talon's trying to reach up to give Kaitlyn a kiss.

Going home!

Kaitlyn got to come home last Saturday, the 15th, and is doing great. She weighed 5lbs, 8oz when she came home. We took her to her 1st doctor appointment on Tuesday, and she was already up to 6lbs, 2oz. Obviously, eating is no longer an issue! She is still a bit jaundice, but that is resolving as well.
We are enjoying her so much! Talon didn't know what to think of her at first, but is adjusting very well. He loves to kiss her and touch her little hands and feet. When we refer to her as "Talon's baby", he gets a big smile on his face. He's been running around saying "Beeby? Beeby?"

All cozied up in the carseat getting ready to leave the hospital. She didn't like it so well at first, but got used to it after a couple of minutes.
As soon as we got home, Talon wanted "up, up, up" to see what Mommy was holding. He was very intrigued with this new little bundled that Daddy and Mommy had arrived with.

She's Here!!!

Kaitlyn Michelle Starr joined us on Wednesday, November 12th, 2008, at 9:19pm.
She weighed 5lbs. 14oz, she was 19 inches long, and has lots of curly dark brown hair!

Kaitlyn has had some issues with her blood sugar being too low, so she had to be admitted to the Neonatal ICU and placed on IV fluids with 10% Dextrose. She also had some minor breathing problems for the first few hours that required a little oxygen and increased monitoring. Her respiratory issues have resolved, and her blood sugar has stabilized on the IV fluids. Now we are just trying to get her to eat so the IV can come out and she can go home!

Kaitlyn and a very proud Daddy!

Daddy bought Talon a really cute monkey, and gave it to him when he came up to the hospital to see his new little sister.
