On Friday, we celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary. We were in charge of the youth that night, so on Monday, we left the kids with some friends from church, and went out on a date to Longhorn Steakhouse. We had a wonderful evening together.
It's crazy to think about how much our lives have changed over the past 11 years. We have been blessed with four beautiful, healthy children; and now we are settling in Minot, North Dakota, involved in a great church, and excited about what God has for us in the next many years to come.
There have been a few times in our marriage, where we have been a little unsettled, trying to find the will of God for our future, making big decisions, and clinging to God and each other. Looking back, it's been in those times, that we have drawn so much closer together, and learned to lean on one another for comfort and support. I'm so thankful for a husband that is willing to be a Godly leader in our home. He's such a good daddy to our kids, he's my better half, the love of my life, and my very best friend.
We had planned to go on a big vacation for our 5th anniversary... you know, Italy, or something fantastic like that. It didn't happen, so we said we would for sure do something big for our 10th. Well, that didn't happen either. Maybe for our 15th? Hmmmm... I guess we'll see!
