Yesterday morning, we got up, and decided to head to the beach for the day. Papa and Granny weren't busy, so they came along. I had a couple of errands to run, then I grabbed a change of clothes for everyone, and we were off. The weather was beautiful- in the 90* range. Thank God for AC!
As we got closer to Lincoln City, it got much cooler, and very windy.
Nap time in the car for the younger two.
The kids love the beach! They have so much fun in the sand, and are game to go in the water no mater how cold it is. I did manage to keep them out of the water this time, though.
Poor Natalie. I grabbed what I thought was her coat, and it was actually my fleece vest, so she didn't have a coat. She did NOT want to miss out on the beach no matter how cold she was, so we sat in the sand and cuddled to keep warm, while the other kids played. She had her bucket and shovel, so she sat and filled it with sand. We were both covered in sand, but at least she got to have some fun. Every once in a while, she would stand up to run and play, and would quickly sit back down as soon as she realized how cold and windy it was.
Wrapped in a towel and snuggling with Papa.
As it got later in the evening, it got really cold and looked like it might rain, so we headed home. The kids had a lot of fun, and it was great to get away for the day. We all slept really well last night!
