We took a day trip to the beach this week. It was a bit overcast and cold, but we had a great family day!
Happy girl with her cup of chips. After I took this picture, I noticed she had taken her arm out of her shoulder strap. Gotta keep an eye on this one!
So happy to finally be at the beach!
Nolan is getting tired of taking pictures, and wants to be free to run!
The kids found an abandoned truck, and Natalie quickly laid claim on it. This was the first time we went to the beach that she could actually play in the sand. She loved it!
Writing our names in the sand
The water was freezing, but the kids didn't care. They couldn't stay out of it! At first, they just wanted to stick their feet in. That quickly changed!
And because Natalie wanted to play in the water, guess who had to go in too.
At least, once your feet get completely numb, it's not quite as bad. But it was freezing cold!
Nat got in a little deeper than she planned, and realized how cold it was. Don't look at me for sympathy, girl!
These kids are crazy!
The kids finally came to their senses right before it got dark, and realized they were cold and wanted to change. Music to my ears! It took us half of the way home to finally get warm. I must say, gone are the days of being able to play all day on the beach and not need a full day to recover. Phew!
We did have a great family day, and the kids had a blast!
