This week is National Nurses Week, but today is National Nurses Day.
At times, being a nurse feels like a thankless job, but it also can be the most rewarding job. You see people on their worst days, but also on their best. You observe life as it begins and as it ends. You step into peoples' lives for a brief time, and have the opportunity to make a difference- no matter how big or how small it may be.
I appreciate all the nurses that I have had the privilege of working with over the past 8 years. They are some of the most caring, thoughtful, and selfless people that I know.
