Family Day Out

I had a baby shower to go to in Vancouver, and the girls really wanted to come, so we made a family day of it.  The boys ran around Vancouver for a couple of hours to kill time.  When we were done, we found a Sparky's Pizza and went out for lunch.  We then went for custard at Sheridan's. (That was the real reason everyone wanted to go. It's a long drive from home, but if we're going up to Vancouver anyway....)

Natalie was so excited that she got to drink from a real cup with a straw, instead of her sippy cup!

We had a lot of fun spending the day out as a family!

Welcome Fall!

I absolutely love decorating for Fall!  All of the colors and candles make our home feel so cozy!
This was my great-grandma's sewing box.
My mom bought me my scarecrow Scentsy warmer for my birthday last year.  I love it!
We went by this field on our way to Salem. I had to stop and take a picture!
Welcome Fall!!!

Beach trip with Grandpa and Grandma

This last Saturday, we finally got to take our day trip to the beach with Grandpa and Grandma Bauer.  The weather was beautiful and very warm.... like high-70's warm.  Jeremy and Donna were in Lincoln City for their married's retreat, so we spent some time with them before they headed home.
(As you will soon see, this post is mostly pictures that speak for themselves.)
Poor James was a bit tired from the days' activities.  All he wanted was a good nap!
Snack time!
Sand swimming
Grandpa playing football with Talon
We finally moved closer to the water so the kids could play in the wet sand.  It was much cooler down there, as well!
After digging in the sand for a while, the kids were ready to play in the water.  So you know what that means... Mommy has to go in the water, too.  Thankfully it wasn't as cold as I thought it would be.
Kaitlyn was a little leery of the water, and only went in a few times.  She was pretty sure that the rest of us were going to get drug out to sea!  Natalie, on the other hand, was all in.  I couldn't keep her away from it.  So I quit trying, and resolved myself to the fact that I would be getting wet, and would have to change my clothes.
Natalie loves water.  I don't think she has enough respect for it.  I had to keep pulling her back.
Kaitlyn was happy to sit back with Grandpa and Grandma and play in the sand
More football
I'm thankful we got to spend the day with my parents, and made it to the beach again before the weather gets cold. We had a wonderful time, and all came back completely exhausted!
