Christmas after Christmas

Remember in my last post how I said that Christmas lasted almost a week? Yeah, well, this is the continuation... with lots and lots of pictures... because I have a bit of a photo fetish!
This was Monday night after Christmas when we got together with my family. It was so much fun!

Of course there was food! Just a few yummy snacks to tide us over while we opened gifts and visited (such an arduous, daunting task, you know!). Wouldn't want anyone wasting away!
Now, on to the gifts....
Yes, more spoiling of the wee ones!

Grandpa. His ornery side is definitely starting to come out.
You can see it all over his face, can't you?!

Attempting to take out the paparazzi.

A new baby and her own pink monkey!!

Learning how to use his remote control 18-wheeler with the police cruisers. So cool!! Any guesses who that might be from? Yep... Uncle Jeremy and Aunt Donna!

Our Christmas 2010

It truly was the Christmas 'season' around our house- it lasted almost a week! We had a lot of fun with all of our family and friends... and the kids got spoiled as usual!

The kids' big gift this year was a 'Grand Kitchen'. It came in 2 huge boxes a few days before Christmas, and since we really had no place to store them, and they were too big to wrap, we just put it together. It came with some accessories, and the kids got a ton more to go with it. They love it!

Kaitlyn got a new bottle and sippy cup for her dolls.... the kind where the milk disappears when you turn it upside down, then reappears when you tip it up. She was pretty intrigued, and even tried sucking on it to see if she could get some to come out. It's so funny to watch kids try to process things like that.

Feeding her baby. What a good little mommy!
Sissy wasn't the only one excited about the new bottle... Talon even took a turn feeding the baby. It was pretty cute!
Christmas Eve with my family and the Browns.
What a fun time!

Nolan and Grandma.
He fell asleep like this. What a crazy little man!

Christmas day we spent with Anthony's family at his parents' house. The kids had fun playing with their cousins. I had to leave early because I had to work that night, but Anthony stayed with the kids.

This is the mirror that Anthony got me for my birthday. We ordered it online and it took some time to come in, so I finally got it hung right before Christmas. I love it!!

We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, and wish you a very Happy New Year!!!

Giddy up!

Why God made aunts and uncles...
(This picture was actually taken on Thanksgiving at my brother's house, but I just found it, so I had to share it!)

Grandpa and Talon

I had to get some pictures of Talon and Grandpa playing. According to Talon, they were playing tackle football... but there was no ball involved. It just looked like a big wrestling match to me! Thanks, Dad... Talon went right to bed when we got home and slept great that night! Actually, you probably did too! ;)

Strollers

This is a common scene in our house... strollers. Since Kaitlyn got a stroller for her dolls, Talon insisted he had to have one for George. There is no way we were buying him a pink stroller, so I pulled out the umbrella stroller. Perfect! Now we have a little, easy-to-move stroller to trip over; and a big, not-so-easy-to-just-kick-out-of-the-way stroller to trip over! Talon thought it was fun to push Sissy around in it, but we had to put a stop to it when he kept running her into things. He has a hard enough time steering it straight without 26 extra pounds in it! I'm trying to preserve my furniture... and the walls, doors, etc.
But look at their faces.... don't they just seem so pleased?!?! Oh the simplicity of being a kid!

2 months old

Wow... time flies!! Hard to believe Nolan is already 2 months old!
We took him in to the doctor for his check-up a few days ago. He weighs 12 lbs. 5 oz, and is now 22 1/2 inches long. Yes, people... that's over 5 pounds in 2 months! He loves to eat. Need I say more?
He's such a fun little guy, and his personality is developing more and more every day.
Gotta love this adorable little face!

I was looking through my pictures, and was surprised at how many I have taken of him in this little bear outfit. I put it on him all the time when we go out because it keeps him warm, and he can't kick it off like he does his blanket. Besides.... it's just so stinkin' cute!!!
