Big Boy Bed

We got Talon a toddler bed so Kaitlyn can move out of her cradle in our room to the crib in her room. He really likes his 'big boy bed'! The first night he slept in it, I put a blanket on the floor to break his fall if he fell out. I checked on him after about 2 hours, and he was already curled up in a ball on the floor. I put him back in his bed and went to check on him a couple hours later. I walked in to see him falling head first, doing a somersault out of his bed onto the floor. I had to laugh! I got him all snuggled back in on his pillow, and in the morning he was still there. He hasn't fallen out again since. However, a couple of days ago, I put him down for his nap and left the door cracked so I could hear him when he woke up. After about 20 minutes had gone by, I heard the patter of little feet running across the floor into our bedroom. I went upstairs to find Talon playing in his toy bin in our walk-in closet. He thought it was pretty funny- that is, until I marched him right back to his bed! Yesterday, he tried it again, only this time he met me at the top of the stairs with an innocent look on his face, holding his teddy bear saying, "Mama? Mama?" Yep, back to bed he went!
(Sigh!) It's hard to believe my baby is growing up so fast!

Sweet big brother

This was priceless. Talon sat on the floor next to Kaitlyn for the longest time and just played with her. She looks so admiring of her big brother in this first picture. He seemed a little confused when he offered the toy to her and she wouldn't take it.

Kaitlyn 4 months

Look who's already 4 months old!
She has such a fun personality. She really likes her Boppy pillow (Unless, of course, she thinks there's a chance she might get held instead!!).

In the dog house

Talon is attempting to hold Kallie down so he can play with her. She has different ideas... RUN!! He just can't understand why they don't want to play with him and get mauled all the time!

I thought Talon had gone upstairs with Grandma because he was nowhere in sight and it got really quiet. Then I heard some rattling around by Kiki's kennel. I couldn't figure out why she would be locked in her kennel, until I looked inside...

He had shut himself in the kennel with Kallie! Odd... she was the only one that wanted out! I had to take some pictures because it was so funny. I then had to get him out and explain to him that he couldn't play in there. He threw a fit! He still needs reminded from time to time that it is off limits.

Trip to the Doctor

Grandma and Aunt Kayla came to stay with us while Daddy was in North Dakota. We were so glad to have them! We took a trip to see Dr Godfrey. Both of the kids had been sick with colds and low-grade fevers for over 3 weeks. Turns out, Talon had a sinus infection, and Kaitlyn had an ear infection and was placed on antibiotics. They both are getting much better and seem happier. These are some pictures of them at the doctor's office. Talon now weighs 23 1/2 lbs, and Kaitlyn weighs 13 lbs. Dr Godfrey made sure to point out that she is already over half his weight at 4 mos. What a little over-achiever!

Missing Daddy!

Anthony is in North Dakota preaching a revival at his brother's church, and we are all missing him VERY much! Talon walks around the house with his toy phone up to his ear all the time and says, "Da-da?" and rambles on for the longest time. Today, he kept putting the phone up to my ear so I could talk to Daddy, too! We miss you, Daddy... Can't wait for you to get home!!

February Oregon Trip

Some miscellaneous pictures of our February trip to Oregon.

Austin and Talon

This picture cracks me up! Austin got tired of Talon's pants falling down, so he went to his room and got Talon and pair of his suspenders to wear. The problem... they were too big. The remedy... attaching them to his back pockets instead of his waist band. It worked great!
I have no idea what these two were up to, but I thought they were pretty cute just laying on the floor chatting!
