Sleepy Bookworm!

I was working on a sewing project and Talon was reading himself bedtime stories. This is how he fell asleep on the living room floor. I guess studying all those "First Words" really tuckered him out!! (The blue strip around his shoulders is fabric that I had cut and he commandeered)

Popcorn Man

Talon recently discovered he LOVES popcorn. He likes to sit on the couch with Daddy and eat popcorn while they listen to football.
We had to get new tires put on our car, so here he is at Les Schwab sitting on the table with his sippy cup and his endless supply of popcorn.
So pleased with his treat!

We've reached the end of the bag... time to visit the popcorn machine again!

Talon and Mommy

Momma and her little boy.
He's added so much joy to our lives! He looks so mischievous in this picture!

Bath time!

No, Talon doesn't usually take a bath in the utility sink, but he had just got done feeding himself dinner and was a MESS! So Mommy took him straight from the kitchen to the laundry room, stripped off his clothes, and threw him in the sink. He thought it was great!

I love all of his blond curls when he gets out of the bath!

What a goof-ball!!

Gonna Be A Bear!

In this life I am a woman. In my next life, I'd like to come back as a bear. When you're a bear, you get to hibernate. You do nothing but sleep for six months. I could deal with that.

Before you hibernate, you're supposed to eat yourself stupid. I could deal with that too.

When you're a girl bear, you birth your children (who are the size of walnuts) while you're sleeping and wake to partially grown cute, cuddly cubs. I could definitely deal with that.

If you're a mama bear, everyone knows you mean business. You swat anyone who bothers your cubs. If your cubs get out of line, you swat them too. I could deal with that.

If you're a bear, your mate expects you to wake up growling. He expects that you will have hairy legs and excess body fat.

Yep, gonna be a bear!

New toy... the dryer!

Talon keeps trying to figure out the dryer. While it's running, he stands in front of it and watches the clothes spin and talks to it. So I decided to put him in it- he thought it was great! I think he couldn't figure out why the clothes weren't going around and around. He got mad when I took him out. Good thing it's up on a pedestal and there's no way he can get in on his own, or he'd probably be trying it soon!

Talon at Chad and Tori's

Talon enjoyed standing in the window at Chad and Tori's and watching the activity outside.
(I love these jammies, he looks like a little jail bird!)

Visiting Grandma

We visited my Grandma Norma while we were in Oregon.

Playing the guitar

Talon playing Uncle Chad's guitar.
It's not enough to get to strum it with his hands anymore, now he thinks he needs to use a guitar pick!! (I don't know how many times we had to dig that out of the couch!) Showing off all those chompers. He has eight teeth now!

Talon and Delani

We made a trip to Oregon at the beginning of October. Anthony was singing in a wedding. While we were there we were able to spend time with some family and friends. Talon got to stay with my parents overnight and get some quality time with Grandpa and Grandma. After the wedding on Saturday, we got together with Anthony's family for dinner. The trip seemed short, but it was great to get to see everyone! These are some pictures of Talon and his little cousin, Delani.

Little guzzler!

Talon just learned how to drink from a straw, so Grandma decided to share some of her raspberry iced tea. He guzzled about a third of this big gulp and we finally had to 'cut him off'!

Talon and Auntie Melanie

I know, she looks normal....

...but looks can be deceiving!

Very deceiving!!!!(and I don't know WHAT Aunt Lacey is doing in the background!)

Picky eater!

Talon has recently decided to be very picky, and has started eating like a bird. He likes to play in his food, but very little actually makes it into his mouth. Once he figured out that he could spit food out that he doesn't like and throw the rest of it to the side of his booster seat, it was all over! Meal times have become quite the ordeal as we lay out the smorgasbord of food in front of him trying to figure out what we can get him to eat.
We decided to go to the Golden Corral for dinner one night, and to our amazement, Talon ate almost everything we put in front of him. The table and floor looked like World War III had been fought using baked beans, mashed potatoes and peaches!
He was very excited about his very own ice cream cone! As people walked by they just laughed and stared. He did look like he was having quite a time (and, of course, Mommy had to capture the Kodak moment!)

It's a GIRL!

These are some ultrasound pictures of our baby girl that will be arriving in a few short weeks. We are so excited and can't wait to meet her! I already know she's gonna have her Daddy wrapped around her little finger!
